Several years ago I left the financial industry to set up a new web design agency and named it DIFFERO. I chose DIFFERO because it was a cool sounding name and I liked the meaning ‘to be different’.
I initially continued to work for the finance company I had left, now as a freelancer. Slowly I added more businesses to my portfolio. As I grew I remained about 80% large financial contracts and only 20% small business.
DIFFERO advertised on national mediums like eBay and Etsy. This meant the majority of my small business clients were spread across the UK. Although we had a few in the EU and even one in the Middle East.
Only a small number of my clients were in Dorset and I missed the interaction with local businesses.
As I write this we are approaching 2020 and I want to focus the coming year on building my local business and expanding my photographic services. I decided it was time to rebrand, to bring the focus on ‘local’. Therefore I wanted a name and URL which would stand out and represent Dorset. I was pleasantly surprised to find Dorset.Cloud was available.
I’m very excited to be taking Dorset.Cloud into the new decade and hope the 20s will bring exciting new local opportunities for our business.
